Mexicana Magic Mushrooms

£60.00

Mexicana, commonly known as Psilocybe mexicana, is a distant echo of the past or the fungus that started it all. This fungus has been used for over 2000 years, dating back to the Aztecs and Mayans. Mexicana can provide you with more than just euphoria and vivid hallucinations.

Here is what makes Mexicana so special:

  • With a long history of use, it is a magic mushroom that kick-started psilocybin consumption in the West;
  • Intense multileveled spiritual trip with beautiful hallucinations and low impact on the body;
  • Distinct appearance and exclusive effects.

There is some overlap between Mexicana, Liberty Caps, and Teonanacatl. Mexicana resembles Liberty Caps, but they are not the same species. Psilocybe mexicana is the source of our premium Mexicana, while Psilocybe semilanceata is the source of our Liberty Caps. Meanwhile, Teonanacatl, which translates as “divine mushroom,” was also discovered in Mexico, although it is a species of Psilocybe cubensis.

Mexicana Magic Mushrooms – Appearance

Mexicana Magic Mushrooms resembles what you think of when you hear the phrase “magic mushrooms.” Long, creepy-looking, skinny stem with a bell-shaped crown on top. Here’s a more extensive explanation:

  • Size: average, 3-5 inches (8-12 cm) long stem, 0,30-1 inch (1-2 cm) in cap diameter;
  • Cap: cone-shaped or convex, sometimes with a raised area in the middle (umbonate) and start to resemble a bell, straw-colored to dark brown when matured;
  • Stem: long, thin, hollow, reddish brown to dark brown, sometimes with deep blue spots on it and on the cap.

Another intriguing feature of Mexicana is the presence of sclerotia (truffles), which enables spores to survive harsh environments and eventually develop into mushrooms. Mexicana, like all psilocybin-containing mushrooms, bruises when gathered, dried, transported, and, in rare cases, stocked. This is because psilocybin becomes blue when exposed to oxygen. It is a fully safe reaction that has no effect on mushroom potency.

Mexicana Magic Mushrooms – Origins

A book may be written about this historically significant magical fungus. It brought together many renowned people, including Mick Jagger, John Lennon, and Keith Richards, and popularized psilocybin mushrooms in the West. We won’t go into detail, but here’s a synopsis of what happened:

  • There are various signs (e.g. stone carvings and statues) that prove Mexicana, and other psychedelic substances like plants, were used by the Mayan civilization, Aztec people, Olmec, Zapotec, and, finally, Mazatec starting from 3000 BC or even earlier for rituals, religious ceremonies, and sacrifices;
  • Maria Sabina, a famous Mazatec healer, held mushroom ceremonies in the village of Huautla de Jiménez and was the first woman who gave psychedelic knowledge to the West when she met with Robert Gordan Wasson in 1953;
  • Robert Gordan Wasson and his wife collected the samples of Psilocybe mexicana, shared them with the French mycologist Roger Heim, who has grown magic mushrooms in the lab, and sent received lab samples to the Swiss chemist Albert Hofmann, who was the first to extract Psilocin and Psilocybin and 20 years later he was the first to synthesize LSD.

Mexicana remains the one and only psilocybin mushroom whose story is more or less coherent and supported by some scientific evidence. Nobody can doubt the enormous influence this small mushroom has had on human history.

How Much Should You Take

Even though it is grown in the lab and lab samples are usually stronger, Psilocybe mexicana is far less potent than Psilocybe cubensis, with only 0.25% psilocin and psilocybin. However, many mushroom connoisseurs claim that Mexicana trip is more potent than Cubensis. As a result, the dose should be administered with considerable caution.

  • Microdose for barely noticeable positive cognition effects: 0,5 to 1,25 grams;
  • Minimal recreational 1,5 – 2 grams;
  • Full recreational: 2 – 3,5 grams;
  • High dose for open-mindedness, heavy hallucinations, and introspection: 3,5 to 5 grams;
  • Heroic: 5-7 grams or more at once (for extreme shroomies only).

It’s vital to remember that everyone’s reaction to psilocybin will be different. As a result, this advice for dried magic mushrooms should be regarded as a guideline rather than a definitive prescription. Remember that it is usually preferable, to begin with a lower dosage and gradually increase it in order to prevent potential hazards and negative side effects.

Mexicana – Administration

Mexicana Magic Mushrooms can be consumed in a variety of ways, letting users select the technique that best suits their tastes and preferences. Some people prefer to eat dried mushrooms, but their flavor may be extremely mealy and earthy, which may not be appealing to everyone. You can attempt the following strategies to make the experience more enjoyable:

  • Mix the mushrooms into your favorite dish, such as a smoothie, yogurt, or soup. This can help disguise the flavor and make consumption more enjoyable. Just be cautious not to cook the mushrooms at high temperatures, as this could reduce their potency;
  • You can purchase empty gelatin capsules and grind the dried mushrooms into a fine powder before filling the capsules. This method bypasses the taste issue completely and allows for precise dosing;
  • Grind the dried mushrooms into a powder and combine with freshly squeezed lemon juice. Let the mixture sit for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Lemon juice is believed to accelerate the absorption of psilocybin, potentially leading to a quicker onset of effects. You can then consume the mixture, a so-called Lemon trekking, as is, or dilute it with water or tea to make the taste more palatable.

Remember that depending on the method of consumption, the start time and degree of effects can vary. On average, it takes 40–60 minutes to begin acting, with the peak occurring after 1 hour or longer. It’s usually best to start with a modest dose and wait for the results to show before raising the dosage.

Mexicana Magic Mushrooms – Safety & Efficiency Rules

The only regulation is that no alcohol or medicines are allowed. Combining magic mushrooms with alcohol or other drugs, especially those that influence the central nervous system, can be harmful and result in unpredictable results. It’s also a good idea to clear your schedule and pay close attention to “set and setting.”

An average mushroom trip lasts 6–8 hours, so be sure you don’t have any other obligations or duties during that time. Meanwhile, look after the area where you will travel. If you are a first-time user, choose a safe, comfortable, and familiar location.

A peaceful and positive environment can have a significant impact on your experience. If you are new to magic mushrooms or attempting a greater dose, having a trusted, sober friend (tripsitter) present can provide support, direction, and reassurance if you encounter any difficulties throughout your trip. There are plenty of other rules we can provide, but everything is unique. Just keep in mind to start slowly, listen to your body, and relax. When using Psilocybe mexicana or any other psychedelic substance, always prioritize your safety and well-being.
